Manatee County sheriff's detectives, deputies are a credit to department

To Sheriff Brad Steube:

My home was broken into recently. I live in a quiet neighborhood with many caring neighbors and have always felt very secure living here alone.

I now feel frightened, invaded and violated. However, the purpose of the letter is to tell you about your deputies and your detectives.

I know that police forces all over the country are suffering lots of negative press. The deputies and detectives who have helped me have been knowledgeable, thorough, understanding and sympathetic.

Deputy Patrick Hager came to my home immediately after I had called to report the crime. He took fingerprints, he found the source of entrance into my house, and most of all, he offered a calming consideration for my concerns.

A day later, Detective Lonczynski, Deputy Russell Younger and Officer David O'Neal were here and again they were been thorough and considerate. Other personnel have been in and around the house. I don't have a list of all their names but to a person, they have all been very professional.

In my opinion your deputies are a credit to the sheriff's department. Even though I am suffering a loss at this time, I feel nothing but pride in the deputies of this county.
