Amid emotional chaos, Verizon worker calms scene

I think it is never too late to say thank you to people who are especially kind. Several months ago my brother-in-law was in hospice and my mother-in-law had just died. To make it worse, our Great Dane had a heart attack while the Verizon man was putting in a new cable.

I have tried to reach this Verizon employee, but no one knows who it was. I wanted him to know that his compassion and kindness during a very stressful time meant a lot to us.

He went out of his way to assist and help me stay calm. He did not know us but acted like a friend in need. I sure hope he reads this or someone knows who he is. He actually rescues animals, like we do, and he was very touched by the whole chaotic incident.

Thank you for people who go beyond their routine. He gets paid for his job, but he does not get paid to care; he did that for free.
