Easy choice: Bernie Sanders has stronger upside than Hillary Clinton
As a proud Democrat, both Bernie and Hillary look good in the debates, and polls have shown that either one could beat Trump or Cruz next November. Bernie is a little to the left of Hillary on some issues, but I would be satisfied with either one as our next president.
The big difference between them is their negatives. Many people have a strong personal dislike for Hillary and anyone named Clinton.
Many people are afraid that Bernie, an avowed Democratic socialist, will turn America towards communism. As people get to know Bernie better, they will see he is not a true socialist, or even a communist, but proposes changes comparable to Roosevelt's New Deal programs in the 1930s or the trust busting programs of Teddy Roosevelt 100 years ago. He is just a very liberal (dare I say progressive?) Democrat.
But as people get to know Hillary better I don't believe their negative feeling about her as a person will diminish much, whether it is deserved or not.
Therefore, on March 15 I will be "Feeling the Bern" when I vote for Bernie Sanders to be the Democratic nominee for president.
