Drug Free Manatee would like to thank Andy and Kalliopi Ameres, owners of Shake Station in Ellenton, for their thoughtful and courteous donation to the participants of Palmetto's Got Talent last month.

The couple signed up as one of our vendors and volunteered to donate a burger to every child who performed during the Jan. 29 talent show.

Due to an unexpected turn of events involving their business, they were unable to attend.

They surprised everyone by arriving with takeout dinners for all the children involved in the event!

Thank you guys for honoring your commitment despite a very trying hardship. We need more businesses like you in our community, and we know the children appreciated the meal.

Merab, Ally, Sharon and Rita of Drug Free Manatee
