Be wary of Ted Cruz and his duel citizenship with Canada

Donald Trump has brought up the issue of Ted Cruz's citizenship. The bigger issue that Trump has failed to bring up is how can a U.S. senator get elected to Congress while having double citizenship in Canada and the U.S.?

Until approximately 10 months ago, Sen. Cruz had not given up his citizenship in Canada. How does the U.S. Constitution allow a person to be placed into a position of national consequence and we the American people have no reason to believe that he would not pledge his allegiance to Canada should we have problems with Canada?

Ted Cruz has already shown that he cares very little for the majority of Americans when he shut down our government. Ted Cruz wants to end Social Security and Medicare while at the same time he was getting free medical care for him and his family because he was still a citizen of Canada.

Ted Cruz continues to do what is best for him and not for the American citizens who have worked their lives, paid into a system and now reaching retirement age, are faced with politicians who want to either end or cut the little they will get.

Americans need to wake up and start voting on issues that matter to them, not on celebrity status and who tell outright lies over and over and are never held accountable for these lies.

After Iowa, just watch how Ted Cruz and other Republicans begin to shift what they are saying. Ted Cruz is especially dangerous to the middle class and he will say anything to get elected. Be forewarned. His dual citizenship should be a major issue -- which Donald Trump has not mentioned yet.
