Is separation of sexes to blame for two 'F' rated Manatee County schools?

Several elements jumped out at me as I read the Herald story on the, finally, 2014-2015 grading of Manatee County public schools.

Two of the schools with an "F" grade were:

1. Just for Girls Academy

2. Visible Men Academy

Is this due to the separation of sexes for educational purposes or the staffing at these schools?

Will the VMA do better when it expands onto the property that the taxpayers spent $800,000-plus for, then it was gifted to VMA for $85,000?

Noticeably missing from the listing was King Middle School. The tennis court at this school was proposed to cost $375,000 for resurfacing ... yet gets no grade?
