Land-line media political polling skews responses?
It has been learned recently that the major political polling organizations determine their results by questioning participants on their home telephone land lines. A much smaller percentage contact people on their cell phones or other electronic devices because that is more costly and time consuming.
It is estimated that 45 percent of the public no longer have land lines, and as many 65 percent of younger people use only cell phones. Since younger people trend more liberal and dove like, and seniors tend to be more conservative and hawkish, it appears that these polling numbers the media quotes may be seriously skewed.
