Time to act on moving Bradenton's City Hall, redeveloping riverfront

In the Herald recently, in talking about the tear-down of the old Manatee Players theater, the article mentioned that Bradenton's mayor and the police "had" discussed moving to a new location.

The mayor, his staff, and the police department are sitting on prime waterfront property that obviously should be restaurants and stores. They have not even mentioned a possible new, central location.

When are old words going to turn into action? I guess that the Downtown Development Authority, located in the same building, is not interested in progress!
