People obliged to report abuse, neglect suspicions

Keishanna Thomas appears in a Manatee County courtroom Thursday for a case management hearing regarding her charges of child abuse, aggravated child abuse and abuse of a dead a body.GRANT JEFFERIES/Bradenton Herald gjefferies@bradenton.com

This is about Janiya Thomas:

I am very sad that citizens can talk about their constitutional rights, but they fail to understand that we also have a constitutional obligation that if we see a child, elderly person or anyone even look like they are being neglected or abused to call the police.

If they are not, oh well, but suppose they are; then you might have saved someone's life.

All these people saw different things happening to this child and said nothing.

These are sad times in this country when no one seems to care, unless some type of benefit is attached. May the heavenly father have mercy on your souls.
