To the Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton:

The Women's Interfaith Network of Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice strives to live our mission to eradicate stereotypes and prejudice beginning in our own communities in order to promote our common humanity and to build a peaceful world. We are deeply concerned by recent actions directed against Muslims in this country.

We stand in solidarity with those who oppose killing in the name of religion.

We stand in solidarity with those who oppose abuse and harassment of people because of religious beliefs.

We stand in solidarity with those who oppose defacing or otherwise damaging any house of worship.

We stand in solidarity with those who oppose the movement to block entry to this country based on religion.

We stand firmly in solidarity with those who wish to promote peace and understanding right here in our own community and in our country.

Salaam, Shalom, Peace,

Jeanette Sherrill
