Longtime SCF Foundation donor withholding gift over trustee vote to end tenure

As a longtime donor to the State College of Florida Foundation, I am withholding my 2015 gift to protest the tenure removal for new faculty enacted by the SCF Board of Trustees.

I have served as a college trustee whose board was committed to action promoting academic excellence. This new SCF trustee action will cause the instructional program to deteriorate or at best to stagnate.

The most beneficial suggestion I can offer is trustee training, whose goal is to promote such academic excellence and the elimination of politics as the basis for decision-making.
