Judicial system flawed when career criminals on streets
I was appalled upon reading about the Bradenton resident who has had 22 prior felony convictions and was shot with his own gun by a resident whose home he had broken into!
What is wrong with our judicial system?
Fortunately for the burglar, Muhammad Solomon, he was only shot in the ankle by the homeowner.
What can a law-abiding person due to protect him or herself from a career criminal when our system allows someone of this ilk to prey upon their victims not once, not twice, not three times, but 22 times ... plus one! Whatever happened to three strikes, youre out!
And to add to this awful statistic, this criminal was allowed bail, although Im not sure if he has been able to come up with $27,500 -- hopefully not!
I feel that something is radically wrong with our judicial system in order for this travesty to occur. I am beginning to side with the NRA after all; if no one can keep career criminals locked up, perhaps we all need to go out and buy a gun. God help us!
