Thanksgiving forgotten in unspirited rush to stores
"The Forgotten Holiday."
Once upon a time, there used to be a holiday that fell in between Halloween and Christmas. This was a holiday where family and friends came together and enjoyed spending time with each other, a time to gather and eat copious amounts of food until you couldn't walk anymore.
Traditions were made and recipes were shared. There were even parades and football games that were planned around this holiday.
Now? We have a day filled with unspirited individuals who push and shove to get some useless item for the Christmas holidays. Where people lose their values, and give thanks to no one.
I don't know about you, but I would like to see this forgotten holiday restored and leave the shopping, retailers, and sales to the day after.
What was the name of this holiday again? I forgot.
