If Manatee County commissioners don't like listening to animal activists during meetings as mentioned in a Nov. 4 Bradenton Herald article, the solution for their problem is simple: Demand and ensure changes are made at Manatee County Animal Services (MCAS).

Admitting an error has occurred at MCAS is not enough? How many errors have to be made by MCAS and in other county departments before change is instituted?

Animal activists will continue to speak up until the commissioners demand and ensure change. So, commissioners, don't blame animal activists for comments during meetings; instead, blame yourself for not taking action by demanding change and accountability from our county directors and administrators.
