A callous act: beloved pet killed by speeding motorist
Early on the evening of Oct. 23, a speeding, irresponsible motorist driving a light-colored SUV killed a beloved pet on 83rd Street Northwest in the Pine Meadow subdivision.
The pet was an orange tabby named Ragu.
The motorist neither hesitated nor stopped. Obviously, said motorist could not read nor heed that the speed limit is 20 mph! This motorist is not the only wannabe NASCAR aspirant for many others use our street as a practice race track.
So, whoever you are, be apprised of the fact that you could have killed a child because of your disregard of the speed limit. I pray that one day you will wake up, obey the law and be considerate and courteous behind the wheel.
Ragu was a very unique feline; you have impacted the happiness of our neighborhood by your carelessness and cruelty.
I also pray that you will never have to suffer the loss of your beloved pet by a motorist who, like you, has no respect for a posted speed limit.
