Wage full-scale multi-nation war against Islamic State

Kobani, a Kurdish enclave on the Syrian border with Turkey, was reduced to ruin during fighting in autumn 2014, when the Islamic State attacked Kurdish defenders. This was the town’s hospital, which was leveled by U.S. airstrikes.

Not much makes sense with the way Europe is handling the migration from the north end of Africa, especially the millions coming from devastated lands after the U.S. "democratized" them by deposing autocratic rulers.

Most puzzling is the lack of policy to stem the flow. Latest estimates are that 3 million more will arrive in 2016. Already in place and becoming more pronounced with each passing day is pan-Arabia Europe with all the values the West despises from those cultures.

How many of the current millions of migrants are ISIL plants, nobody knows. How many of the others will become Islamic extremists, nobody knows. Certainly there will be enough to disrupt western values and alter European cultures.

Stability, starting with Syria, is the best way to staunch the flow of migrants. The only sure way is to rid the country of ISIL. Presently that effort is so fragmented that chances of getting ISIL out are close to none.

What is needed is a major military undertaking (war, with troops on the ground) to rid every bit of ISIL from the land. Once that is done, turn the country back to Assad and acknowledge the need for dictatorial leadership.

With proper military material support, Assad could take full control of the country and keep ISIL out through various means, including brutality.

Why is there no discussion in Europe about launching a full-scale war against ISIL in Syria? Europe has NATO in place for this kind of need. What is keeping this from happening?

It seems only two possibilities exist: Europe's aversion to starting a war and/or U.S. vetoing any.

Whatever the reason for not waging war, Europe is drowning in migrants and destroying itself in the process. The clock is ticking quickly toward midnight.
