Manatee County should help veterans by restoring free bus program

Wonderful news that the students of the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee can ride bus transportation in Manatee County for free. How about restoring the veterans ride for free program?

The organizations that service distressed and homeless veterans lost the ability to give free bus rides to our veterans, who pledged their lives to our country, and believe me, many veterans that we serve cannot afford a bus ride.

Let's stop all of the feel-good rhetoric about helping veterans and do something for them. Many of our veterans are distressed and homeless and without transportation to seek the help they need.

Please, help our veterans and restore the free veterans bus program.
