Thanks to Bradenton Herald staff for positive stories on youth

I wanted to thank the writers at the Bradenton Herald for the many articles they write about the youth in our community. They seem to try to shine attention toward youth from all of the local schools.

As writers, you probably have multiple assignments weekly and have little time to spend on individual assignments, but the accolades (moments in the spotlight) can make a huge difference for all who are mentioned in the articles.

Those articles not only feed the spirit of that child, the articles also provide the children in elementary schools positive role models.

The articles you write become cherished items that are hung up on refrigerators, sent to other family members, placed on Facebook, and framed to be placed on a memory wall. Your articles become the evidence of accomplishment and achievement that can later remind a person of their worth and potential in life. ("Yes, I did that, so I can do more!")

Your articles become cherished memories of a simpler time, and become a medal of honor when read by future generations. ("Wow, you did that!") For the families that stay in our area, your articles become a link/bond between generations. ("That's where Mom got first place.")

For the writers of Herald, the next time you become bored, frustrated, or overwhelmed by unending list of tedious assignments, I just wanted to remind you that you have a great effect on our towns, and a positive influence you have on the future of our community. You are much more than a master of good grammar and editing. You help parents, teachers and churches motivate our future generations to strive for better.
