Manatee County commissioners care little about wildlife

I just got a distressed call from my sister who, while driving to work this morning, came across her second dead (!) hawk this week along 53rd Avenue West at, or about, just west of Lee Middle School, where tree clearing is going on. Beware!

The first hawk was dead and she turned it over to a wildlife organization.

This morning's hawk was delivered to the Bayshore Animal Clinic where they found it to be potentially just stunned. A dead armadillo was seen earlier in the week.

Stop claiming you are for the environment. All of you. I hope this place gets so paved over we can call ourselves Miami.

Maybe Manatee County wants to partner with wildlife organizations before allowing the blatant killing of wildlife for the benefit of tax dollars and the commission's blatant attempt to not anger developers. Have you ever heard of Audubon? Have you ever heard of Sierra Club? For God's sake, this place has turned into a bunch of losers.

What? You don't think that's very professional? I don't think half of what this commission does is professional. I am looking for another caring community to move to.
