Americans deserve truth on Benghazi from Hillary Clinton

AP

Columnist Trudy Rubin (Herald commentary, Oct. 21) says she agrees with Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton that Americans are sick of hearing about Clinton's emails. I cannot help but wonder if either Sanders or Rubin have sons and if they do, were they lost in a war?

I have told my wife since Day 1 if any one of our sons, of whom we have three, were killed at Benghazi that day and both Clinton and President Obama hugged me on the runway with the bodies of those dead heroes and promised me that they would get to the bottom of this -- and then I never heard from them again -- I can assure you I would still be standing on their door steps.

Those two have ignored facing the truth, they will not place the blame on who dropped the ball nor will they speak to the parents of those wonderful men who were let down by these two, one of whom holds the highest office in the land and the other is now seeking that office.

So, Trudy Rubin, I applaud Trey Gowdy and anyone else who has the courage to stand up and fight for those of us who believe that we have been lied to.

People like Trey Gowdy and all others like him are the true patriots of this country and those of you who close your eyes to the truth are the Benedict Arnolds.
