No litter on roadways, but plenty inside vehicle

Jerry Gallagher's Oct. 14 letter concerning trash thrown from cars that litter road ways hit the spot with me.

For years I preached "do not litter" to my four children. While riding in my oldest son's pickup truck last month, I asked why the inside looked like a garbage pit. His answer was, "You told us never to litter so I just throw it in my car."
