Vern Buchanan praised for defending Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland

Thank you, Mr. Buchanan, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to bring a resolution to the House and coming to the defense of Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland. Although the news article did not make front page news here, it should have.

To try and force a decorated green beret out of the Army is a total disgrace to the United States of America. To those of you who don't know the story, go to page 3A of the Oct. 1 Bradenton Herald. It will make you sick to your stomach to hear that someone at the Pentagon has given an order for all of service men and women to ignore any screams coming from the camps of Afghan militia forces as they molested very young boys chained to their beds. Sgt. Martland deserves a medal for not killing that Afghan police commander. The people at the Pentagon are a disgrace to this nation if this is the order they forced upon our service men and women.
