Show ‘zero tolerance’ for President Trump. Congress should impeach him | Letter to the editor

This may not be a politically expedient position to take. But I am of the belief that Congress should impeach the President for each and every action of his that is, in fact, an impeachable offense.

His routine transgressions cannot be allowed to morph into normalcy.

Using soldiers to attack peaceful protesters in Lafayette Square was not only a violation of the Bill of Rights and the United States Constitution, but it amounted to assault and battery.

The top ranking U.S. general, Mark Miley has already apologized for his involvement in this attack on American citizens, and reports he was unaware that the attack was going to happen. He states that he thought we was there to inspect the troops protecting the White House. The president literally obscured his intention to use troops illegally, from the highest ranking member of the U.S. military. That is unconscionable.

Our president is disregarding the rule of law. He must be held accountable.

If I can borrow a catch phrase from another Republican president, Ronald Reagan, it is time for zero tolerance. Donald Trump must be brought to justice for his betrayal of the Constitution, and our nation.
