Wear your masks to prevent COVID-19 spread. It’s good for business | Letter to the editor

If you are out and about and not wearing a mask maybe you’re not afraid of COVID-19 or you’ve already had COVID-19. But when the economy doesn’t rebound as it should and the numbers for new cases of COVID-19 are rising at an exponential rate it may be time to reconsider wearing a mask.

I am still-self isolating because so few people are wearing masks. If you are in a service industry or you know someone who is in a service industry, including but not limited to doctors, lawyers, dentists, optometrists, hair and nail salons, restaurants, retail, home repair, garden centers, travel, or entertainment, my decision to stay home affects you.

I am going to be cautious about going out until there is a vaccine for COVD-19 or most people start wearing masks. There are many other people who are also still isolating because they have risk factors and don’t want to catch COVDI-19.

If I have to go out, at this time I am wearing an N95 mask. It is very uncomfortable but it is the only mask that fillers viruses.

My cloth or surgical mask protects you and your mask protects me. If you want demand for goods and services to rise, please put on a mask.
