Publix and shoppers at this store need to improve their social distancing | Letter to the editor

To all those people I saw In Publix on Sunday, 5/17/20, on Anna Maria Island: Shame on most of you.

It is not too much too ask that you wear a mask to protect yourself but more importantly to protect the rest of us. Distancing guidelines were not adhered to and I can’t understand why Publix allows this.

I have witnessed this in many of the island stores. Our health is paramount to all of us. We cannot get back to some sort of normalcy unless we all do our part. As for Publix, please require that your shoppers wear a mask. It just may save a life and that may be yours or the life of someone you love.

Thank you. I am sure we all care about this situation.
