Pandemic has not slowed the need for more foster parents in Manatee-Sarasota, Letter to the editor
Our beaches, schools, and businesses have closed. Social gatherings have stopped and traffic has slowed down. The world has paused. But what does not stop during a pandemic?
Child abuse and child neglect.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Youth Advocate Program has not lost sight of the need for foster homes in Manatee, Sarasota and Desoto counties. In our very own community, innocent children are coming into foster care every single day.
This is a call for action: The Suncoast needs foster homes now more than ever.
NYAP is still open for business and eager to train and license foster parents in a safe and convenient way. Contact us today to learn about personalized online training opportunities to fast-track you in becoming a licensed foster parent. In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, will you be the safe place for a child?
