Voters reject female candidates because of their politics, not their gender | Letter to the editor
There were multiple columns and opinions in Sunday’s paper bemoaning the fact that there are two old while men left in the Democratic presidential race and that this country is not ready for a woman president.
I do not believe that to be true. The proble was with the female Democratic candidates, and more importantly their policies.
If and when someone like Condoleezza Rice or Gov. Nikki Haley run, they would win as their policies would be accepted by the country.
Blaming the recent rejection by the Democratic voters on gender is just an excuse.
