To everyone who produces and reads the Bradenton Herald: I read today that the print edition of the Saturday paper is being discontinued. I know a lot of people will be unhappy with what the paper needs to do to survive, but I hope enough people realize the importance of the press and professional local journalism, and continue their paid subscriptions.

The paper needs all the revenue it can receive to keep the doors open and pay the salaries the people need. With the damage being done to us by our enemies’ propaganda in the Internet sources, it is more important than ever to support the free independent press.

I hope more and more citizens vote their support, with their subscriptions, for our community’s local professional journalism.
