Trump’s pro-Putin statements on Veterans Day appall this citizen
I am not a donkey or an elephant. However, I can never remember a time in my 50 years as an American citizen, where a sitting U.S. president chose to agree with a former KGB agent (Vladimir Putin) over the Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency and the Director of National Intelligence.
These agencies, the CIA, FBI, NSA and DNI, all agree that Russia interfered with our last presidential election.
The “patriots” at Fox “news” would be screaming from the rooftops and their heads would be exploding were it Hillary Clinton or President Obama taking the side of the former director of the KGB over the US intelligence agencies and rightly so!
Vladimir Putin is an autocratic despot who has stolen billions of dollars from Russia and is linked to the murders of over 30 reporters. I know a U.S. professor living in Moscow for over 30 years and he has numerous stories about Putin we never saw in the western press that would terrify you.
It’s time for all good Americans, especially Republicans, to speak up and say “Enough is enough.” On Veterans Day no less! I don’t know if President Trump is guilty of working with the Russians or not, but he sure acts like it. No patriotic American should sit by quietly while a U.S. politician slanders our intelligence agencies and kisses the butt of a terrorist. Where are the Republicans on this issue? Why are they silent? Are they putting their party ahead of the USA?
