Cortez seems abandoned since commission sold out to Beruff

I drove through Cortez today. We had a hurricane what, a month and a half ago, and there are piles of debris still lining the roads there?

It’s almost like ever since our county commissioners sold their souls to Carlos Beruff, Cortez is been forgotten. I’ve driven in some of the “nicer” areas in Bradenton and they are working on their second pickup. But Cortez seems to be forgotten.

Now that the area is on the brink of unfathomable change, with 95-foot condos blocking the sunrise, Cortez has become the “ugly stepchild” to this commission. So sad to see them abandoning this jewel of the Gulf Coast.

Maybe they are waiting for Uncle Carlos to come buy the entire city to expand his “vision.”
