Irma debris as Christmas decorations? Why not!
A letter on the lighter side: They say if you have lemons, make lemonade, so here goes.
Obviously Bradenton has Irma debris everywhere that won’t be cleaned up for a couple months. Therefore, I propose that we leave many of the debris piles in place for now. Festively decorate them for Christmas and get some word out to the media, calling ourselves the city with the most uniquely decorated holiday streets in the country. We get great media exposure for our “Friendly City,” which may draw in a few more tourist dollars.
After Christmas, we can remove the decorations, and the debris can be removed, (which it may be that long before they are removed, anyhow).
