With all our retirees, Manatee schools shouldn’t need another dime

It is very difficult for me to understand the need for additional funding for our schools. We have a countless number of retirees moving to our neighborhoods each year. These retirees pay taxes, but they don't have school-age children. Homebuilders cannot build quick enough to match the demand for new homes. Our neighborhood has over 40 homes, and you can count the school kids on one hand. Either there is to much dead weight in management, the school system is inefficient, or we aren't asking the parents to pay their fair share. Government can do a better job.
