Make a constructive difference. Volunteer at Project Light
These are very disheartening times in America. The conflicts and division make it seem like we are losing our minds.
In the midst of all this, retired professionals and recent college graduates show up every day at Project Light, 1104 14th St. W. to teach English to adults who want to better their lives in Bradenton by studying in addition to working and caring for their families.
Both the students and the teachers are my heroes. The teachers are empathetic and patient, and the students are hard-working and appreciative.
If you want to do something constructive that feels really good, volunteer at Project Light.
