Statue honors Confederate veterans, should stand as history

I guess some of Bradenton’s finest coming to and from their court hearings are having their feelings hurt as they pass by a carved piece of artwork honoring Confederate veterans, which by the way has stood for decades.

Remember the words of author Terry Pratchett: “If you do not know where you come from, then you don’t know where you are, and if you don’t know where you are, then you don’t know where you’re going. And if you don’t know where you’re going, you’re probably going wrong.”

You can’t change history, folks, and our elected officials should stand by this fact. What’s tomorrow’s headline in today’s society of whiners? Word on the street is: Rally At Bishop To Topple Snooty Statue.
