Mr. Trump: How can scientists (ie, fake news global warming) know there’s going to be an eclipse?
Dear President Trump,
Just a heads-up: There are scientists who claim that many people in the United States will be in the path of a total solar eclipse Aug. 21, 2017. These are scientists who are trained in the same method — the scientific method, it’s called — as those who are warning you that global warming is real, that it is being exacerbated by our burning of fossil fuels, and that our best course of action is to follow the Paris Accord protocols.
I await your leadership (Twittership?) on this matter. If you can take time away from escalating your rhetoric with Kim Jon Un to incendiary heights, please denounce these supposed scientists as the frauds they must surely be. How can they know there will be an eclipse? Just declare the whole thing a Chinese plot!
Denounce these predictions to be “fake news.” Many American will believe you.
And don’t forget midday on Aug. 21, you might need to turn on some lights.
