Save manatees with ‘Snooty’s Law’

How many wild manatees have been injured or killed by boat propellers in the days since Snooty’s death? Snooty was born in captivity precisely because his mother had been rescued from propeller injuries in Biscayne Bay. What would be a more fitting memorial to him than to have Florida pass “Snooty’s Law”?

Imagine that boats in Florida waters were equipped with prop guards designed to protect manatees (and people) from disfiguring and fatal contact with prop blades. This would honor his memory forever.
