Democratic House, Senate would OK Medicare for all
So far, Republican health care is itself an oxymoron. From the AHCA bill passed by the House of Representatives in May to all the forms of legislation proposed by Republicans in the Senate: Every single one has been a proposal to take away health care from tens of millions of Americans and reduce benefits for all of us.
It can’t be called a Healthcare Bill unless it increases the number of people covered, improves everyone’s coverage, and/or lowers costs to the individual. And the last thing we need is to “let America’s Healthcare System fail.”
We need Republicans in the House and Senate to support the subsidies in the Affordable Care Act. We need for them to improve health care for Americans instead of making it worse. And, if they continue their attempt to take health care away, we need to vote them out of office in 2018. I am sure a Democratic House and Senate would help us move in the right direction, which should be toward Medicare for all.
It is time for America to join the rest of the industrialized nations and provide health care for all of its citizens. As a result, Americans will become healthier, more financially stable, and better able to compete with the rest of the world.
