Homes need to be built for young, homeless -- not the rich
What has become of this country? It is a shame what this country has turned into.
I remember 50 years ago, vacationing in another country where people were laying in the streets. People stepped over them like it was no big deal. Well, it is sad to see all the homeless begging on every street corner in our wealthy cities.
Why are we building and building for the rich people when we have all these young homeless people? Where is the incentive for them to get ahead? Yes, they can make some quick money or easy money as some like to say, but I don’t think if someone gave me $1 million a day I would do it.
Things are pretty sad when you go to a grocery store, a gas station or going out to eat... there is someone asking you for money. What has our standard for human being become? Why can’t cheap housing be built with a bathroom and a bedroom, with a microwave and a small refrigerator?
This would be a place these homeless could be housed. They can lock their only possessions there and be able to get back on their feet.
I hope this will wake some people up. Don’t stay home in your comfortable air-conditioning with a comfortable bed and think the situation will correct itself. We need people who really care and don’t have their head under a blanket.
A caring person, are you?
