Ellenton doesn’t need another Walmart

Why another Walmart on U.S. 301 and Erie Road? Don't we have enough of them in Manatee County?

They are at every exit on Interstaet 75, and there is one in Palmetto on U.S. 301. Why can't we have better stores like a Super Target, or a Meijer’s, or a Fry’s, or a Super Kroger? It just seems like the Ellenton/Parrish area gets stuck with lower-end stores. The KFC was just fine until they opted for a Sonics.

Something has to change with whoever does the planning for Manatee County. This area is growing and we need better stores, because it will attract more people into the area to live. Walmart is not the answer.
