Everyone should read health-care editorial

I was moved to tears by the guest editorial written by Susan Timmins in the May 21 Bradenton Herald. This poignant editorial should be read by all members of Congress, as well as the current administration, who seem to take satisfaction in denying vulnerable American citizens health care. People who think health care is a privilege obviously have never had to make a decision regarding medical care because of their finances. What makes it worse is the peril of parents of a sick child.

Thank you, Ms. Timmins, for your eloquent editorial. I plan on printing it out and mailing it to Rep. Vern Buchanan as well as Sen. Marco Rubio. I will also send a copy to President Trump, Paul Ryan, Barack Obama and Joe Biden. I urge everyone who might have missed this to read it online (bradenton.com/opinion/editorials). If I could I would tape it onto pizza boxes and deliver it to every member of Congress.

I have always held Ms. Timmins and her husband in high regard, now I would like to encourage them to run for political office. We could use an outsider who has great wisdom as well as actual moral integrity. That would be a refreshing change.
