GOP leaders must fight the good fight

Our current elected Republicans need to realize that gloves are off when it comes to the opposition party. They freely admit that they are going to resist any/all efforts from the right. The party that screamed about obstructionism a short while ago has no problem with it now. Bipartisan efforts are only necessary when it comes to their agenda. This is an outright war, so the Republican leadership needs to treat it as such.

The left, along with a complacent media, are going to continue to odemonize the right, taking every opportunity to paint the Republican leadership, as well as our POTUS, in a negative, sometimes vulgar manner. So, Vern and Marco, the way I, and others who supported you, feel is you have two options:

First, you can continue to try to appease them and disgust your supporters (a la Newt Gingrich and the Republican leadership in the late ’90s). You should always keep in the back of your head that they will never agree, much less vote for you. So, why bother? Continue to dance with them and trust me, your base is fed up and will want to drain the swamp of you and anyone else that wants to go down that pathway.

The second option is totally ignore them and, as quickly as possible, enact every bit of conservative legislation possible. Smile at your town hall meetings, thank them for being there and just continue doing the job you were sent to do. From the Senate side, start filling the many vacant judgeships with conservative, Constitutional-minded jurists right off the bat. Do what it takes to build the wall and defund Planned Parenthood. Just as the Nike ad says, “Just Do It.” Trust me, guys, your Republican base will be so elated that you’re actually getting things done that they will continue to put you in office. Try organizing your numbers and quit arguing among yourselves. Twist the arms of Republican fence-sitters, they must also know their Democratic constituents are not going to vote for them. They need to trust that, if they get the job done, their right side base will be so pleased with their actions that they will come out in greater numbers and insure they are reelected.

The Republicans have a tremendous opportunity, please don’t squander it!
