Patriots vote not just for one candidate

After reading Mike McLeod’s letter of Nov. 4, I felt I had to reply.

His letter stated that if one was a patriot they would vote Trump for president. This would clearly imply that those of us voting any other candidate are not patriots, and I find that insulting, if not downright offensive.

I am very much a patriot, I hold both this great nation and its flag dearly. I admire, respect and am proud of our military men and women and most of all I cherish freedom, justice and liberty for all.

However, since I choose to vote another candidate other than Trump does not in any way make me unpatriotic. I’m sure there are others out there that feel much the same way as I do

A proud American,

Anna Yoakum
