Constitution’s sanctity breached often
As a lifelong conservative, I began a journey of enlightenment. As a kid, I believed that government was the friend and assistant to citizens. In my early adulthood, I began seeing actions by the government that tested my belief in both parties.
My journey has come to a place where I no longer trust any of the elected, appointed, or employed members of government, especially the federal government. They now appear to be opportunists who learned they could force anything they wished on we the people as they became bolder in their belief that the public is too dumb to see that Washington is an open cash register that they force us to refill for them while they misuse it any way they like.
I am certain that as we the people sit on our hands and allow the present course to continue, our position will continue to erode. If we decide we want a turn back to a land “of, by, and FOR the people,” we will have to change.
The sanctity of the Constitution has been breached by the elected, who were entrusted to protect and defend it.
While we still have the freedom to change this course, we have a peaceful option to close this breach using Article V of the Constitution. (Look it up if you care.) Using Article V we can amend the Constitution to close the breaches and tighten the chain around the neck of the federal government so it can no longer threaten our liberties.
Otherwise, we can wait until the weight of tyranny of the current bastardized rules that come from Washington are no longer tolerable and then revolt like those who created this country in the first place.
We the people ultimately control our future, for now!
