Irresponsibility: Uninformed voters decide elections

As a result of a lawsuit, Democrats obtained an extension of time for voter registration. This is another example of irresponsibility by some of the voting public. If they were informed and responsible voters they would be able to timely register.

Election of candidates has been relegated to uninformed and irresponsible voters who vote based on factors other than the ability of a candidate to govern in a manner to facilitate economic growth and create prosperity for the vast majority of Americans.

The current campaigning efforts are lacking in ideas for improvement of the economy while stressing the lack of morals of the opponent. Many seem to think the object of the election is to find a moral leader rather than a political leader. Such an attitude would serve well on a pastor search committee in a church, but can be misplaced in a political contest.

As the author Holly Lisle wrote, “If you don’t accept responsibility for your own actions, then you are forever chained to a position of defense.”
