Flights canceled, delayed at SRQ airport after Hurricane Debby passes through Bradenton

Hurricane Debby brought heavy rain, wind and flooding to Manatee County, disrupting several flights at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

Manatee County officials said nearly 12 inches of rain — a new daily rainfall record — were reported at the airport’s weather station, which is a record for daily rainfall.

As of Monday afternoon, there are seven canceled arrivals to SRQ and eight canceled departures from the local airport, according to the airport’s website. Three arrivals have been delayed and one departure has been delayed.

The delays and cancellations affect several airlines, including Delta, Southwest, United and American.
