There’s a disturbance brewing in the Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa-St. Petersburg and Bradenton areas that has a chance of developing into a storm system over the next week.

But it’s a slim one, the National Hurricane Center said Sunday morning.

What the NHC calls “Disturbance 1” has a 0% chance of developing by Tuesday morning and 20% chance of developing by next weekend as of the 8 a.m. Sunday update.

“Towards the end of this week and into next weeks, an area of low pressure could develop from a remnant frontal boundary near or along the Southeastern U.S. Atlantic and or Gulf coasts,” the hurricane center said. “Some gradual tropical or subtropical development could occur thereafter as it drifts slowly just off the U.S. coastline.”
