A Florida lottery player won a big prize — but might not know it yet.

The player bought a Jackpot Triple Play ticket that matched all the numbers picked in the Aug. 15 drawing, making it worth $500,000, results show.

The winning numbers: 9-10-12-24-28-39.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix grocery store on Curry Ford Road in Orlando. The player opted for Quick Pick, meaning a lottery machine randomly chose at least some of their ticket numbers, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.

Jackpot Triple Play offers tickets starting at $1. To hit the jackpot, a player’s ticket must match all six numbers picked in a drawing.

As of early Aug. 18, the lucky ticket holder hadn’t claimed their prize. In Florida, the winners of drawing games have about six months to cash in, rules show.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
