Circuit chief judges appoints interim replacement for Clerk of Court R.B. 'Chips' Shore
MANATEE -- Chief Circuit Judge Charles Williams has appointed Angel Colonneso as interim Manatee County clerk of the circuit court and comptroller.
Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller R.B. "Chips" Shore was found dead at his home Wednesday.
Colonneso was general counsel for the clerk's office.
In an order issued by Williams, it states that Colonneso will act as interim until Gov. Rick Scott fills the vacancy. Shore's current term is set to end in January 2017.
The order stipulates that it will be null and void if the governor makes an appointment before the end of the term.
