Man wins huge lottery prize first time playing online game. ‘Quite the surprise’
A Michigan man was shocked when he won a huge prize on an online lottery game.
The Livingston County man was playing Jumanji Rush online for the first time, according to an Aug. 13 news release from the Michigan Lottery.
“I play online a lot, but this was my first time ever playing Jumanji Rush,” the man told lottery officials.
The man said he initially thought he won much less, but then he realized just how big the prize was.
“I was playing late at night and thought I won $100 at first, so it was quite the surprise when I realized I’d actually won $100,000. It’s pretty cool to win such a large prize, especially my first time playing that game,” he said.
The five-by-three symbol-matching game has a top prize of $200,000 and costs between 10 cents and $20 to play.
The 44-year-old man said he plans to save the money.
Livingston County is about a 55-mile drive northwest from Detroit.
