Man kills his parents and sister while 3 children were home, Arkansas cops say
An Arkansas man is accused of killing his parents and sister while three children were home.
Jarrod Mitchell, 34, is facing three counts of first-degree murder, according to jail records.
Around 7:30 a.m. June 22, police were called to a home for reports of three people found dead, another post from police said.
The 911 caller told dispatchers he came home from work and found his wife and in-laws dead, according to police. Three children were also found in the home, uninjured, according to police.
“There were no signs of forced entry or signs of this being a home invasion,” police said.
All three people were found with gunshot wounds, police said.
Later that evening, police arrested Mitchell. Police said the three victims were his parents and sister.
“I am horrified. I have been here since 2018, and I have never lived where there has been a triple homicide ever,” neighbor Sandra Harris told KARK.
Police have not identified the three victims.
Attorney information for Mitchell was not available.
Bryant is about a 20-mile drive southwest from Little Rock.
